Susan Cox
Susan Cox was educated in Fine Arts at California State University, Long Beach and lived in England for 14 years where she painted and exhibited in galleries. Her work has been featured in the Federation of British Artists, Britain in Watercolours, exhibition at the prestigious Mall Galleries in London.
National and regional publications have utilized Cox’s work and ABC Television’s Wide World of Sports highlighted an opening segment with her illustration. Exhibitions at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center-the Art of the Automobile, the Newport Beach Concours de Elegance, The Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and the Peterson Automotive Museum have shown her work.
Having explored many themes within her home state of California, Susan Cox has now titled her collective works, “California Impressions “, visions of the wine country, its vineyards and the restaurants. The Art of Dining is her most recent theme as she captures the activity and mood of the restaurants she has been inspired to paint. These paintings have been collected by not only the clients who visit the galleries in which she exhibits, but also by interior designers who have placed her work in public settings.
Susan Cox paintings are in major collections, including Chart House Restaurant, Newport Beach, CA, Silverstone Country Club, Las Vegas, NV., Blackhawk Country Club, Danville, CA, Tattersall Country Club, PA, Health Care Property Investors, Inc., Newport Beach, CA, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Huntington Beach, CA, and Sir Eldon & Lady Griffiths.
Cox is affiliated with Oil Painters of America (OPA), California Art Club (CAC), and Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LAPA).
