Margo Petterson

Margo Petterson was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in the San Fernando Valley. She attended a private high school in Burbank, across from the Disney Studios.

After receiving her degree in Fine Art in 1961, Margo traveled with her husband and continued her art studies. She studied under the late Edward Runci for several years, also attended seminars with the Cowboy Artists of America in West Yellowstone, Montana.

Margo paints primarily in the Western genre. Her "Feminine West" series blends the delightful myth with the harsh reality of the Frontier.

Her work is exhibited in galleries throughout the West and Canada. Margo Petterson has participated in the George Phippen Memorial Art Show, Prescott, AZ, Death Valley 49er's Art Show, Furnace Creek, CA, C.M. Russell Show & Auction, Great Falls, MT, National Western Art Show & Auction, Ellensburg, WA, Alamo Kiwanis Club's 1993 National Invitational Western Art Show, San Antonio, TX, and the Southwest Art in the Wine Country Show, Calistoga, CA.
