Paula Bacinski
Paula V. Bacinski studied at the Otis Art Institute and apprenticed with Theodore N. Lukits (1897-1992) at the Lukits Academy of Fine Arts. Bacinski received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Mount St. Mary's College, Los Angeles, and a Masters in Ministry of Seattle University, Seattle, Washington. In the course of her twenty-five year career, Bacinski has taught drawing, painting and the fundamentals of art through private instruction and at the elementary and high school levels.
She presents artists retreats, painting workshops and lectures on the spirituality of art. In 1999 her Ala Mater, Bishop Montgomery High School, named her "Alumnus of the Year". Her paintings are included in the collections of Dean Witter (Ventura and Pasadena offices), U.S. Trust, Arco Towers, Cox Cable Corporate Offices, Torrance Memorial Hospital, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, and the Fluor Corporation.
Amont Bacinski's group exhibitions with the California Art club, she has shown at the Carnegie Museum, the Natural History Museum, and at the Muckenthaler Center. In 1998 she was included in the exhibition "A Silent Testament: Native and Humankind in the Balance" at the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Santa Ana, California.
Paula Bacinski has received feature articles in Westways Magazine and Southwest Art Magazine. Bacinski is a member of the Pastel Society of America, Northwest Pastel Society, West Coast Pastel Society, and the Oil Painters of America. She is a Signature Member of the California Art Club where she has served in the Executive Board.
