Raymond Mendieta

Raymond Mendieta was born in San Francisco, California and as far back as he can remember has had a consuming love for painting. However, it was not until after his thirties that he seriously began to pursue his interest in art.

Ray attended art school at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco where he received his Undergraduate and Masters Degree in Fine Arts. He has spent many years teaching and lecturing throughout the San Francisco bay area and presently teaches at the Academy of Art University.

Ray’s paintings are collected by many prominent collectors worldwide. He has had numerous one-man shows and has attended plein air competitions throughout the United States.

“To be able to see a beautiful landscape touches my soul . . . to be able to translate the beautiful landscape on canvas and touch the soul of the viewer has always been my inspiration for painting.” . . . in the artist’s own words.
