Jeanette Le Grue
Born in 1952 in Kodiak, Alaska, Jeanette Le Grue attended Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington and Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa. She has taken many professional art workshops as well.

Artist’s statement . . . “I paint in oils in bold fresh color. My subjects include still life’s, interior settings, outdoor garden settings and a variety of landscapes en plein air. The ever-present beauty that god has created is what inspires me. I am but a sojourner leaving my mark and yielding to my desire. I can’t imagine doing anything else!
I accredit the works of such great masters as Sergei Bongart, Joaquin Sorolla and Franz Bischoff as being most influential in developing my own use of color, light and subtle grays.”

Le Grue holds membership in American Artists Profession League, American Impressionist Society, California Art Club, Oil Painters of America and En Couleur (group of six painters).
Jeanette Le Grue has garnered many prestigious awards. Her work received First Place Oils in the Scottsdale Art School’s Best and Brightest Show, Best of Show in the California Statewide Art Show, The Washington Square Award at the Salmagundi Show in New York, and she has been a finalist in the Artist Magazine Annual Competition Still Life Category.
